CBC Health & Safety Committee

The CBC Health and Safety Committee is made up of four CMG members; Glen Guerin, Michael Pattison, Gail Young and staff co-chair Mac Skelton, two APS members:Andy Libby- TV, Julie McCambley- Radio, one Management co-chair; Gail Carducci one Profac representative; Brendon Murry, and CBC Consultant On Health, Safety and Environment- Athena Trastelis. Also the Manager, Operations & Security Management, English Regions, Real Estate Division, Zissis Lioslios is almost always in attendance on a volunteer basis. We discuss matters of concern from employee accidents, fire alarms, construction projects, air quality and more.

Once a month a team of two inspect a section of the building for possible hazards and health issues. It also gives us a chance to hear from you directly with your concerns.

If you have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to call myself or any other committee member. Regardless of our positions within the corporation, all of us are concerned for the health and safety of each and every one working here.

Also, Gail Young is in the process of organizing the next Wellness Fair, Oct. 29, 2008, 9am to 2pm. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please contact Gail at 3009.
